Due to a shortage of 2c and 3c stamps in 1920, surplus stocks of the 15c, 30c and 35c Cabot issue were overprinted with new values.

There is a vast difference in alignment of the overprint between the upper line "TWO" and the lower line "CENTS". On the left stamp the 'O' of "TWO" is over the 'T' of "CENTS", while on the right stamp the 'O' is over the 'S'.
